Head of School
An American born in Fulda, Germany, Will has served as a teacher and administrator in international schools throughout the Asia-Pacific region. He has held a variety of supervisory positions as well, such as MYP (Middle Years Programme) Coordinator, Assistant PYP (Primary Years Programme) Coordinator, Principal, Deputy Head, and Head of School at National Plus, IB (International Baccalaureate) and Cambridge Schools.
Prior to joining Kingsgate International School, Will served as Head of School for Sekolah Mutiara Harapan, Indonesia. Under his tenure, the school became only the third IB PYP School in all of Sumatra, and ranked highest among all accredited schools in Riau Province. He has received many letters of appreciation from the Department of Education for his contributions to education and community service.
Will is also an active IBEN (International Baccalaureate Educator Network) member with certified roles as an IB PYP reader, consultant, visiting school team member and team leader. He has played a key role in the evaluation of several schools throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East. In addition to his long career as an educator, he has served in the US Army, worked as a government contractor for the US Navy, State Department, and Department of Defense. Some of his awards and recognitions include the US Legion of Merit, Meritorious Achievement Medal, Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal, and Presidential Sports Awards.
He is married with an 11-year-old son and enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and traveling.
