Greg Parry

CEO & Executive Principal

Greg is the Co-Founder of Kingsgate International School and is the CEO and Co-Founder of Kingsgate’s education management company, Global Services in Education.. Internationally renowned for his expertise in education leadership, Greg Parry’s vast experience includes high-level positions with secondary and vocational institutions throughout Australia, the Middle East, the United States, India and China. A robust leader and dedicated educator, Greg’s various positions at these institutes of learning include: CEO, director, headmaster and consultant. Recognised for his numerous contributions in the education arena, Greg has received the Ministers Award for Excellence in School Leadership based on improvements in school performance and a range of successful principal training and leadership development programs, as well as the School of Excellence Award for Industry/School Partnerships and the School of Excellence Award for Technology Innovation.

Considered one of the premier experts in his profession, Greg has trained teachers and principals throughout the world in areas such as critical thinking, language development and leadership. His expertise in school start up projects, leadership and curriculum development, has made him a sought after authority in these disciplines.

Shanna Parry

Senior Managing Partner

Shanna is the Senior Managing partner of Kingsgate’s education management company, Global Services in Education. She is the Senior Education Director of Kingsgate International School. Shanna is renowned for outstanding achievements both as an educational leader and author of engaging, innovative curricula. Combining her passions for teaching, training and travel, she has since worked throughout the USA, Middle East, India and China serving as a director (Higher Education), headmaster (Secondary School) and consultant (K-12). Shanna brings a wealth of experience in a variety of critical areas.

In 2018 and 2019 Shanna was identified as top 30 in the Education category for Global Gurus among some of the worlds leading Education experts including Sir Ken Robinson, Eric Jensen, John Hattie and Robert J Marzano. Shanna continues to travel extensively to meet the demands for her consulting expertise in administrative and teacher development, curriculum writing and language programs. Shanna has consistently delivered exceptional results for increasing and improving student achievement in all key areas, including language development, reading proficiency and writing skills. In her role as Managing Partner of GSE and Director of Kingsgate International School, she plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the school as well as pioneering creative models for other international schools and providing groundbreaking training methods for directors, administrators, teachers, and students.

David John

Principal

United Kingdom

David is from Wales and is the Principal of Kingsgate International School Malaysia. 

He is a graduate of Swansea University and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in the UK. A very experienced Mathematics teacher for IGCSE and A-Levels, he is also well regarded for his ability to maximise student achievement. 

In his free time, he is also a passionate golfer who also enjoys a range of other sports as well as travel

Neoh Soon Ken

Chief Marketing Officer

A true blue Penangite and foodie, Ken dabbled in the film and broadcasting industry before finding his passion in education many years ago and has not look back ever since, spending more than one third of his life in the industry in a variety of leadership and management roles ranging from academia to corporate training, business development, branding, communications and marketing. His vast and progressive experience in cradle to grave education ranges across various education entities such as KDU Penang University College, Epsom College in Malaysia and St. Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia before his present role with Kingsgate International School as Chief Marketing Officer and leads the business development, marketing, communications and admissions function of the school.

Jacintha

Early Years Teacher

Jacintha graduated from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Early Years Education. She has been teaching the Early Years for the past 7 years and is very passionate about the proper development of young children in school. 

She is a strong believer that the first few years of a child’s life are highly formative and influential and therefore, adopts a nurturing and encouraging approach to child guidance with a penchant for hands-on learning with the children in school. 
 
Outside of the teaching world she enjoys retail therapy, travelling to new countries and food hunts as it gives her so much joy. 

Jessica

Jessica graduated from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Early Years Education. She has been involved with Early Years education for the past 9 years.

She has a true passion for working with our youngest learners and thrives on helping each child progress in all areas of their development — academic, social, language, arts, crafts, and motor skills. She strives to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive and fun environment. A proponent of growth mindset, Jessica hopes to be a positive influence for young minds so that they grow to become respectful, selfless, kind, and successful people.

On the personal side, she has a keen interest in traveling, reading books and listening to music.

Yuvanesvari Kalimuthu

Yuva graduated from Unitar International University with a Bachelors of Education in Early Childhood (Hons). She has 7 years of teaching in Early Years Education which allowed her to develop a deep understanding of child development milestones and the importance of fostering curiosity and creativity in young minds. 

She is a firm believer in the power of play – based learning. She designs engaging activities that foster creativity, cognitive development, and social skills in the little ones. Through age-appropriate activities, interactive play, and engaging lessons, she aims to contribute positively to the children’s growth during these crucial early years.

Beyond the classroom, she is an avid believer in the power of creativity. When she isn’t sparking imagination in the daycare, she’s indulging in her love for crafting. She shows interest in making DIY projects using recycled materials.  graduated from Unitar International University with a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education (Hons). Robyn Pickles

Primary Teacher

United Kingdom
Robyn is a graduate of Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, in the UK where her studies specifically focused on how young children learn to write through phonics acquisition. She grew up in a small town in the north of England, worked in UK schools and then moved overseas to teach in Rome and then Malaysia .

Robyn has a strong interest in teaching children with English as an additional language and how to best support their development. In her spare time she loves to travel and explore Malaysia.

Iain Humphrey

Primary Teacher

Mr Humphrey graduated from the University of Bath and gained his teaching qualification from the University of Nottingham. He taught in the UK for 8 years after that before spending the last 5 years of his teaching career here in Malaysia.

He is a staunch advocate of the importance of pastoral care within a child’s learning which has really driven his own teaching values and has become his passion.

On the personal side, he is a big health and a sports fanatic and used to be a full-time athlete. He competed in the sport of Bob Skeleton and was extremely dedicated to his sport. He was ranked 5th in the country in his sport and competed around the world for Great Britain.

Hannah James

Hannah studied English literature at the University of Plymouth. After graduating she spent some time working and travelling around Australia and New Zealand and it was in Australia, whilst working as an au pair, that she developed an interest in education. Upon her return to the United Kingdom, she attended the University of the West of England where she did her PGCE in Primary Education. 

 

Hannah has a passion for educating the whole child and believes in instilling a strong sense of self and confidence in her students. She strives to create a classroom where children feel safe, valued and challenged. Her favourite subject to teach is English and she has a vast knowledge of current children’s literature to ensure that her students are reading a wide variety of texts. Hannah is a keen singer and has enjoyed running the choir at her previous school in the UK. 

 

This is Hannah’s first position in an international school having previously taught in the UK for the past seven years. Outside of the classroom Hannah enjoys reading, cooking and is looking forward to exploring Malaysia with her young family. 

Mike Dziobkowski

Primary Teacher

Mike graduated from the University College of Social Sciences in Częstochowa, Poland with a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. He taught in China for 4 years before moving to Malaysia in 2016. With experience in IB schools, he strongly supports using play and inquiry-based learning in the classroom.

Beyond teaching, Mr. Mike is a martial arts instructor who’s enthusiastic about fostering a healthy lifestyle and encouraging movement.

In his free time he loves playing tabletop games and pursuing personal development programs.

 

Shane Wiggle

South Africa

Shane hails from South Africa, the country well known for “Tata” Mandela, its beautiful oceans, mountains, weather and of course, its status as World Rugby Champions!

 

Like most other people in South Africa, She really enjoys outdoor activities. She is a keen runner, tennis player and is a favourite of the sport, field hockey where she represented her country at the World Ladies Masters Hockey tournament last year.

 

Her teaching career spans over 30 years with most of it being in South Africa and a further five years in an international school in Angola.

Terry Barrett

Secondary School Teacher

Terry studied at the University of Essex, University of Keele and University of Reading in the UK. He is an extremely qualified teacher in Mathematics with a BA Degree in mathematics, Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology and PGCE in secondary mathematics. His extensive teaching experience in various parts of the world includes working with all Cambridge secondary maths courses and other widely recognised international programmes. 

In his teaching, Terry endeavours to instill an in-depth understanding of mathematical principles and develop higher-order problem solving skills. Meanwhile, outside of school, he likes hiking and travelling.

Terry is enthusiastic to be part of a growing and evolving school like Kingsgate.
